Die ultimative Bibel... - naja, da hätte ich mehr erwartet. Themen werden oberflächlich an Screenshots der DiskStation Software erklärt. Eine Erklärung, wie man den Papierkorb leeren kann und dies auch automatisiert - vielen Dank, aber wer dazu eine Erklärung benötigt, der sollte sich auch keine NAS anschaffen. Für etwas was sich ultimativ und Bibel nennt und dann mit Bildern und selbstverständlichen Themen überladenen daher kommt 20€ ? Sorry, etwas frech. 9.95€ hätten es dicke getan.
Auf der Suche nach einem NAS habe ich mich vorab in diversen Foren für Synology entschieden.Als "Nachschlagewerk" habe ich mir dieses Buch gekauft, da ich von diesem Verlag bereits mehrere Bücher habe.Ich konnte anhand des Buches super einfach die Einrichtung verschiedener Benutzer erledigen.Ebenso wird erklärt wie man alles von unterwegs mit Apps oder verschieden Protokollen erreichen kann.Dinge wie Mailserver oder VPN-Server werde ich in Zukunft anhand des Buches nutzen.Fazit: Ein sehr schönes Buch, mit dem man einen Leitfaden für verschiedene Anwendungen hat.
Dieses Buch bietet leicht verständliche bebilderte Anleitungen und Erklärungen bzgl. nahezu jedes Themas zur Synology NAS. Dabei beschränkt sich das Buch nicht nur auf die NAS an sich sondern erklärt auch was bei der Einrichtung von Router und PC im Zusammenhang mit dem NAS zu beachten ist und wie dabei vorzugehen ist. Auch als langjähriger Synology NAS Nutzer bietet das Buch dass ein oder andere interessante Thema um sein Wissen zu erweitern.Ich halte dieses Buch für Anfänger und Profis geeignet.

Jemand der in die gesamte Thematik NAS-Systeme gerade einsteigt sind ist der Preis des Werks sicherlich lohnenswert, auch für Umsteiger die bisher andere Systeme im Einsatz hatten oder aber ein sehr altes NAS nun durch ein Zeitgemäßes ersetzen. Profis bzw. beruflich sich damit beschäftigende Menschen würden allerdings sicher das Ganze nicht als „Bibel“ gerechtfertigt ansehen.
